With a combination of magnets and air as resistance, together with an aluminium seat track, the R301 offers an ultra smooth rowing action. The rowing computer is height adjustable so you can row in the most comfortable position, and with a foldable seat track the R301 can be compactly stored when not being used. Heavy duty pivoting footplates, a large comfortable seat and a multifunctional computer display complete the package.

York R301 v Concept2

I have been a Concept2 user for many years in the gym but now I have set up a home gym I have been converted to the York 301. The usability in my opinion is identical between the two but the york wins overall due to better program functions, automatic resistance level adjustment in programs (if needed), ability to fold up and then finally the cost. I am very impressed with build quality, smoothness, the folding mechanism and the display options. There is still the question of longevity but an independent service rep indicated the york 301 is very good when compared to a concept and this finally persuaded me to give it a go which I am very happy about.

I ordered a York Diamond rowing machine from you guys, and it arrived today. I've just finished assembling it and giving it a short test run, and I'm very impressed by the quality and solidness of the machine. I'd also like to add that I'm very happy with the cost - there's a sports equipment retailer here in Ballarat that is selling the same item for a significantly more expensive price. I'm one happy camper ... thanks guys!!!

Just received my new rower and its a great unit. The metalwork is solid and sturdy. I would not like to move it around too much. Luckily it stays where it is so it should last a long time. Comfortable seat and a great feel to the rowing action with simple tension adjustment. Good programmes and easy to use once you work it out. The user guide could be a lot more informative to better understand the interface. It also comes with a sensor for the heart rate monitor for two installed target heart rate programmes.
