A 20mm reversible EVA jigsaw mat that locks together without glue, tools, or fuss. Each mat measures 1m x 1m, weighs around 1.6kg, and interlocks securely on almost any flat surface, so you can lay a full home gym, MMA training area, kids play space, or studio fitout in an afternoon and pull it up just as quickly when the space changes.

Made from premium closed-cell EVA foam (35 to 40 hardness, 130kg/m³ density), these jigsaw mats give you serious cushioning and shock absorption without the bulk of heavier rubber tiles. The non-slip checker plate surface holds grip even when wet, the foam dampens noise for shared fitness spaces, and the closed-cell structure resists stains and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Each mat is reversible with a different colour on each side, so you can flip individual tiles to refresh the look, mix two colours to zone training areas, or swap the layout when your space changes. Available in six colour combinations: Blue/Red, Black/Grey, Yellow/Green, Black/Red, Black/Yellow, and Blue/Yellow.

Want something heavier for serious lifting? The wider gym flooring range includes 15mm rubber gym flooring tiles for free weight zones and commercial fitouts where dropped barbells are part of the daily routine.

Why it works

EVA jigsaw mats hit a sweet spot that rubber flooring can’t quite match. The closed-cell foam absorbs impact without the weight or cost of thick rubber tiles, which makes them ideal for high-movement training where you’re rolling, kneeling, falling, or hitting the floor regularly. MMA, BJJ, judo, wrestling, yoga, Pilates, kids tumbling, all of it works better on EVA than on hard rubber.

The reversible design is more useful than it sounds. PT studios use it to zone different training areas by colour, MMA gyms flip mats to refresh the look when one side scuffs, and home gym owners change up the layout when they want a different vibe. Same mat, two looks. Works just as well in a busy commercial fitness facility as it does in a backyard shed.

The jigsaw locking system means installation takes minutes, not hours. No glue, no tools, no cutting around skirting boards. Lay them down, lock them in, and rearrange when your setup changes. They’re light enough at 1.6kg per mat that one person can shift a whole room without help.

Where to use it

  • Home gyms (garage conversions, spare rooms, sheds)
  • MMA, BJJ, judo, wrestling, and grappling training spaces
  • Yoga and Pilates studios
  • Kids' play areas and tumbling zones
  • Cardio, stretching, and mobility zones in commercial gyms
  • Outdoor training areas (decks, patios, covered spaces)

FAQs

How many mats do I need?

Each mat covers 1 square metre. Measure your space in m², and that’s your mat count, rounding up if you’re cutting around corners or equipment. The interlocking edges trim cleanly with a sharp utility knife if you need to fit awkward shapes.

Are these sold individually or as a set?

Individually. Each mat is sold as a single 1m x 1m unit, so you can buy exactly the quantity you need. Product images often show multiple mats joined together to demonstrate how the jigsaw pattern works.

Can I mix colours?

Yes, that’s part of the appeal. Plenty of buyers run two or three colour combos through their space to zone training areas, create a checkerboard pattern, or match branding. Just flip individual mats to show whichever side you want facing up.

Are EVA mats good for heavy lifting?

For light free weights and dumbbell work, yes. If you’re regularly dropping heavy barbells or bumper plates, step up to 15mm rubber gym flooring tiles in your lifting zone, and use the EVA jigsaw mats for the rest of the space.

How do I clean them?

Sweep or vacuum regularly, then wipe down with warm water and a mild detergent. The closed-cell foam is water-resistant, so a damp mop is fine. Avoid harsh solvents. They’ll break down the foam over time.
