Gymking 8kg Junior Olympic Barbell

Gymking 8kg Junior Olympic Barbell

The Gymking 8kg Junior Olympic Barbell is a lighter bar for learning to lift properly. At 8kg and 180cm long, it's well under a standard 20kg Olympic bar, so juniors, beginners and anyone rebuilding technique can practise full movements with a real barbell before moving up in weight.

It's built on an aluminium shaft with hard chrome sleeves that spin on copper bushings and ball bearings, for smooth rotation through presses and Olympic lifts. A 28mm shaft suits smaller hands, and it takes standard 50mm Olympic plates, so it works with the plates, collars and racks you already have.

Why choose a junior bar?

• Learn on a real barbell: practise squats, presses, deadlifts and Olympic lifts with proper bar path and positions
• Light starting weight: 8kg lets newer lifters train full movements without the jump to a 20kg bar
• Bushings and bearings: two copper bushings plus two ball bearings keep the sleeves spinning freely
• Sized for smaller hands: 28mm shaft with four knurled sections for a secure grip
• Room to progress: loads up to 90kg, plenty for junior and technique training
• Stand-out finish: blue Arctic Camo shaft, easy to pick out on a busy gym floor

Ideal for

• Junior and youth strength programs
• Beginners and technique work
• Warm-up sets and mobility drills
• PT studios, school and club gyms, and home gyms
