Self-Powered GymKing Commercial Curved Treadmill
The GymKing Commercial Curved Treadmill is a self-powered running machine with no motor and no maximum speed. You drive the belt with your stride, so a recovery walk and a flat-out sprint happen on the same machine without touching a button. It is rated for a 200kg user weight and built for high-traffic floors, which makes it a fit for commercial gyms, PT studios and serious home setups.
An integrated resistance lever lets you load the belt for sled pushes and reverse sled pulls, so one footprint doubles as a conditioning station. The curved slat running surface loads the calves, hamstrings and glutes harder than a flat motorised belt, and because there is no motor or electronics, it needs almost no maintenance and holds up under repeated daily sessions.
Building a conditioning corner? Pair it with air bikes and rowers for a full HIIT circuit, and ask about freight for commercial sites and multi-unit orders.

Why it works
On a motorised treadmill, the belt sets your pace. On a curved treadmill, you set it. Your foot strike on the front of the curve drives the belt forward, then the curve carries it back under you, so there is no speed dial and no lag when you change gears. That single difference is why athletes use them for interval and sprint work: you can go from a jog to a sprint in one stride and back again, something a motor cannot match.
The shape also changes, and which muscles do the work? Driving the belt yourself recruits the posterior chain through every stride, and the slatted deck takes some load off the joints compared with pounding a fixed belt.
Because there is no motor, maintenance is light. Wipe the slats down after busy sessions, keep the frame bolts checked and torqued, and the running surface looks after itself. There are no belts to lubricate and no electronics to service, which is part of why curved treadmills hold up so well in commercial rooms.

FAQs
Do curved treadmills need to be plugged in?
No. The GymKing curved treadmill is self-powered, so it needs no power outlet or motor. Your running motion drives the belt, which means you can place it anywhere on the floor without worrying about access to a power outlet.
Is a curved treadmill harder than a normal treadmill?
Generally yes. Because you power the belt yourself, you work harder at the same pace than you would on a motorised treadmill, and the curve loads your calves, hamstrings and glutes through every stride. Most users find a curved treadmill more demanding for the same time on the machine.
What is the maximum user weight?
The GymKing Commercial Curved Treadmill is rated for a 200kg user weight, with a frame built for high-traffic commercial floors. That rating covers the user plus normal training movement, so it suits gyms and studios with a wide range of members.
Can I do sled pushes on it?
Yes. The integrated resistance lever lets you load the belt to mimic sled pushes and reverse sled pulls, so you can train acceleration and lower-body power on the same machine you use for running. That makes it useful where floor space for a dedicated sled track is tight.
Is it suitable for a commercial gym?
It is built for commercial use, featuring a heavy frame and a 200kg user rating, making it suitable for repeated daily sessions. It suits commercial gyms, personal training studios, hotel and corporate facilities, and home gyms wanting a machine that will last.
