Rubber Gym Flooring 1m x 1m x 15mm TAN

Heavy-duty 15mm rubber gym flooring that doesn't compromise on looks. The TAN colourway is a popular choice for home gyms and studio spaces where the floor is on show — warm, modern, and a step above the standard black. Each tile measures 1m x 1m, sits flat without glue, and stays put under dropped weights, foot traffic, and equipment day in, day out.

Made from high-density recycled rubber with a low mesh count, the surface holds grip even when wet and won't slip underfoot. Bevelled edges give you clean tile-to-tile joins, and because each tile is heavy enough to hold its own position, you can lay them down, rearrange them, or take them with you when your setup changes.

Looking for more options? The wider gym rubber flooring range includes 10mm tiles for lighter use and fleck variants, allowing you to add a bit of colour to your gym rubber flooring.

Why it works

This 15mm rubber gym flooring is designed to protect your sub-floor, your equipment, and the people training on it. The 15 mm thick handles for dropped barbells and dumbbells dampen noise in shared fitness spaces, providing a stable and durable surface for everything from squats and deadlifts to functional training. Built to last in busy fitness environments, these gym mats are designed for the long haul.

The fire certification matters too. Insurance companies and councils often require it for commercial gym fitouts, so you’ve got the paperwork sorted if you need it.

Tested to AS/ISO 9239.1-2003 reaction to fire tests on floorings, and we have the certification available upon request - a necessity for most insurance companies and councils for commercial gym fitouts and apartments.

Where to use it

  • Home gym setups (garage conversions, spare rooms, sheds)
  • Commercial gyms and PT studios
  • CrossFit-style training boxes
  • Free weight areas and lifting platforms
  • Outdoor training spaces

FAQs

How many tiles do I need?

Each rubber tile covers 1 square metre. Work out your space in m², and that’s your tile count, rounding up if you’re cutting around corners.

Is 15mm thick enough for heavy lifting?

For most home gym and commercial use, yes. The 15mm thickness handles dropped weights and protects the sub-floor. If you’re running a dedicated lifting platform with heavy bumper drops, you may want to double up rubber mats in that zone.

Do I need to glue them down?

No. Each tile is heavy enough to stay in place on its own, which makes installation quick and lets you rearrange when your setup changes.

How do I clean my 15mm gym mats?

Sweep regularly and mop with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid harsh solvents. They’ll break down the rubber over time.
