Who is the GymKing 32kg for, and which size should you choose?

One pair of GymKing 32kg Adjustable Dumbbells replaces 16 pairs of fixed dumbbells, with weights from 2kg to 32kg in 2kg increments. A traditional two-tier dumbbell rack holding 32 individual dumbbells can take up well over 2 metres of wall space. By comparison, each GymKing adjustable dumbbell measures just 408mm x 192mm and returns to its compact adjustment base for weight selection. A floor stand is also included, giving you a complete, space-saving dumbbell setup without the need for a full-size dumbbell rack.

The 32kg adjustable dumbbells sit in the middle of the GymKing range. They’re ideal for lifters who already press or row with 20kg or 24kg dumbbells and want more room to progress, while providing additional weight for exercises such as goblet squats, Romanian deadlifts and single-arm rows.

How to use and look after adjustable dumbbells

Always change weight with the dumbbell sitting in its base. Twist the handle to the number you want, check both ends read the same, then lift straight up. The change takes a couple of seconds, so you can go from 28kg rows to 8kg lateral raises without walking to a rack.

Don't drop them. A fixed dumbbell shrugs off a fall onto rubber flooring; an adjustable one has a selector mechanism, and a drop can bend a plate or jam it. Wipe the handles after training, keep chalk and dust out of the base, and check the plates sit flat every few weeks.

Can I drop adjustable dumbbells?

No, and that goes for every brand of selector dumbbell, not only GymKing. The mechanism relies on plates seating precisely, and a drop can bend a plate or jam the selector. Drop damage isn't a manufacturing defect, so the 3-year warranty doesn't cover it.

Is the rack included, and is it a floor stand?

Two storage bases are included, one per dumbbell, and that's what 'rack' means for this product. They're low bases measuring 408mm x 192mm x 195mm with the dumbbell in place, made to sit on the floor or a bench. There's no separate tower stand in the box.
