TREADMILL CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Your treadmill performs best when it’s clean, dry, and well-lubricated. A little care goes a long way toward keeping it running smoothly for years.

Cleaning Your Treadmill

Always switch off and unplug your treadmill before cleaning.

  • After each workout, wipe away sweat and dust - this prevents rust and protects the electronics.

  • Use a dry cloth to clean the footrests, exposed deck area, and under the belt where possible.

  • For plastic parts, use a mild detergent and ensure the unit is completely dry before use.

  • On the running deck, use a clean cloth and silicone spray (if recommended for your model and can be purchased in store).

  • Never use water on the belt, deck, or electronics - moisture can cause serious damage.

Keep drinks and liquids away from the console - spills may void your warranty.

Fixing Belt Slippage

If your treadmill belt feels like it’s slipping:

  1. Use the Allen key to adjust both rear roller bolts - only ¼ turns at a time.

  2. Run the treadmill and re-check. Don’t exceed 2–3 full turns total.

If slippage continues, contact our Aussie Fitness service team for professional adjustment.

Aligning the Running Belt

Belts can shift slightly over time - that’s normal.

  1. Start the treadmill at a slow speed (3–5 km/h) and watch the belt for 20 seconds.

  2. If it drifts left, tighten the left bolt ¼ turn clockwise and loosen the right one ¼ turn.

  3. If it drifts right, reverse the process.

  4. Test again and ensure about 15 mm of give in the belt.

Avoid over-tightening, it can shorten the life of the rollers and bearings.

Safety Tips

  • Keep fingers, clothing, and hair clear of moving parts.

  • Don’t stand on the belt when starting - let it run for 15–20 seconds before stepping on.

  • Use a surge protector to protect electronics from power spikes (available at most electrical stores).

  • Children and elderly users should always be supervised.

  • Unplug cords before folding, cleaning, or moving the treadmill.
