HOME GYM CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your home gym doesn’t need a lot of maintenance - just a little regular care to keep it in great shape for years of training.
Cleaning Your Home Gym
-
Wipe down the frame and pads after every workout, especially if you sweat heavily.
-
Use a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner for upholstery.
-
Always place a towel on the seat or bench during workouts to protect the padding.
-
Every few weeks, give the entire unit a clean with a mild detergent or spray cleaner, then wipe dry.
Keeping your home gym clean prevents rust, wear, and damage to cables or upholstery.
Lubricating & Maintenance
-
Check that cables run smoothly and are clear of any obstructions.
-
Wipe dust or grime from pulleys and guide rods using a dry cloth.
-
Once a month, lubricate the weight-stack guide rods with silicone spray (never use oil-based products).
-
Every few months, remove and grease pulleys and bolts with general automotive grease.
-
Lightly grease bush points to prevent unnecessary friction and wear.
General Care Tips
-
Regularly check that all bolts and nuts are tight, especially on moving parts like the leg press or chest press arms.
-
Keep your home gym indoors and away from the elements - moisture and sunlight can cause rust or damage (and may void your warranty).
-
If anything feels loose, squeaks, or moves unusually, stop using the machine and tighten or service before continuing.
With simple cleaning and occasional lubrication, your home gym will stay smooth, quiet, and ready for every workout.
